Single Ply: TPO, PVC and EPDM

The use of single-ply materials for flat roofing has increased significantly in the last 30-40 years, because of their resistance to leaks and energy efficiency. TPO, PVC, and EPDM (abbreviations for membrane) are the most prevalent used by commercial builders.Their material is optimal for covering a large low-slope area and offer durability and efficiency benefits.

TPO (Thermoplastic polyolefin)

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

TPO (Thermoplastic polyolefin)

TPO has gained industry acceptance with the natural reflective surface to reflect UV rays. As reported by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) TPO takes up about 40% of the commercial roofing market share.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride)

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

TPO (Thermoplastic polyolefin)

Similar to TPO, PVC is energy efficient and resistant to grease and chemicals. The roof uses plasticizers, making it easier to install because of its flexibility.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)

EPDM has a rubber membrane, which makes it resistant to hail impacts, it is a good protectant from chemicals and grease as well as natural deteriorants.
